This easy honey chipotle mayo is a fantastic topping sauce for shrimp tacos. It’s creamy, spicy, sweet, sour, smoky, and full of intense and delicious flavors but at the same time not harsh at all. You can easily make it in 5 minutes with canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, mayonnaise, honey, rice vinegar, cumin, dried oregano and onion powder.

How to make it:
Finely chop the adobo pepper, then add to a bowl along with all remaining ingredients and whisk until smooth.
How to serve it:
Lightly toast corn tortillas, then top them with sliced grilled jalapeno peppers, grilled shrimp, chopped fresh tomato, cilantro and green onion. Drizzle with honey chipotle mayo and serve.
How to store it:
Store the sauce in an airtight container in the fridge. Consume within 2 days.
How spicy is this sauce?
This honey chipotle mayo is mildly spicy from the chipotle pepper and the adobo sauce. If you prefer it spicier, add more adobo sauce to taste.

Honey Chipotle Mayo Sauce

- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 canned chipotle pepper, finely chopped
- ½ tablespoon adobo sauce*
- ½ tablespoon honey
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder

- ½ teaspoon unseasoned rice vinegar
- Add all ingredients to a bowl and whisk together until smooth.
