This raspberry chipotle dipping sauce has an intense and complex sweet, tart, fruity and spicy flavor. It's made with raspberry preserves, canned chipotle pepper, soy sauce, rice vinegar and Dijon mustard. Serve it with breaded and fried chicken, jalapeño poppers, chicken wings or chicken nuggets.
My ingredient notes:
Dijon mustard is the secret ingredient in this sauce that ties all the flavors together. I initially only added it because I was looking for something to give this sauce body but it turned out to do much more than that. The Dijon counters the intense sweetness of the preserves, amplifies the smoki- and spiciness of the chipotle pepper and makes the overall flavor of this sauce much more complex.
