Sweet and Spicy Apricot Dipping Sauce

This delicious sweet and spicy apricot dipping sauce is incredible with chicken nuggets, coconut shrimp or bacon-wrapped shrimp with cream cheese. It’s sweet, sour, fruity and spicy all at once. And you only need a few simple pantry ingredients to make it.

What’s in the sauce?

You need apricot preserves, adobo sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar and onion powder to make the sauce.

Ingredient notes:

Step 1. Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl.

Step 2. Whisk until well combined.

How to use it:

Serve as a dipping sauce with chicken nuggets, chicken tenders, coconut shrimp or these bacon-wrapped stuffed shrimp!

How to store it:

Store the sauce in an airtight container in the fridge. Let the sauce come up to room temperature before serving.

How spicy is it?

This dipping sauce is mildly spicy. If you would like it spicier, stir in more adobo sauce to taste.

Ingredients:
  

  • ¼ cup apricot preserves
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons adobo sauce (from a can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce)
  • ¼ teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
