This Sriracha bbq sauce is sweet, sour, spicy and perfect on grilled or smoked meat. It has ketchup, Sriracha, dark brown sugar, rice vinegar and Worcestershire sauce and only takes a few minutes to make.

Ingredient notes:

  • I recommend dark brown sugar (rather than light brown sugar) for this recipe. Dark brown sugar has more molasses and therefore a more complex flavor that works well in this sauce.
  • Note that there is no liquid smoke in this recipe. Therefore, the sauce does not have the smokiness that some store-bought bbq sauces have. Instead this sauce has a complex but very pure, sweet, sour and spicy flavor profile. If you want to make the sauce smoky, you can add a drop or two of liquid smoke.
