This all-purpose ground beef seasoning has delicious flavor from smoked hot paprika, chili powder, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. To use it, simply cook ground beef until no longer pink, drain off excess fat and moisture (if desired), then stir in the seasoning. Use the seasoned meat to make stuffed peppers, pasta sauces, omelettes and more!

What does it taste like?
This seasoning has a very rich umami flavor with a little bit of a spicy finish. It's slanted toward Mexican flavors but it's different from an outright taco seasoning blend. Instead of the strong cumin and oregano flavors typical of taco seasoning, I added basil to balance the chili powder and the smoked paprika. It's an unusual combination but I think it works really well. The basil brings just a hint of sweetness and that rounds out the flavors perfectly.
