This Italian chicken seasoning has all the delicious herbs traditionally found in Italian seasoning along with garlic powder, salt and sumac. Sumac adds a little bit of citrusy umami that's great with chicken and provides the perfect contrast to the herbs.

What's in the seasoning?
This seasoning is made with Italian herbs (basil, oregano, marjoram, thyme, rosemary), garlic powder, salt and ground sumac. (For a chicken dry rub that's centered on spices, rather than herbs, also check out this Mediterranean seasoning.)
How to use it:
You can use the seasoning on chicken breasts or any other cut of chicken. Lightly oil the meat, then generously add the seasoning. Grill or bake the chicken as usual. The seasoned chicken is great on salads, sandwiches, pasta and more!
How to store it:
Store the seasoning in an airtight container in a dark, cool and dry place.

Italian Chicken Seasoning
Equipment:
- measuring spoons
- mixing bowl
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1 teaspoon ground sumac
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix until well combined.
