This flavorful Mediterranean spice rub for chicken is a mix of aromatic spices and herbs commonly used in Mediterranean cuisine. It takes boneless, skinless chicken breast from ordinary to gourmet!

Recipe ingredients:

This spice rub has a fresh, earthy and lightly citrusy flavor. Cumin, allspice and oregano make up the dominant flavors and are supported by black pepper, garlic powder and salt.

How to use the spice rub:

This rub is excellent on boneless, skinless chicken breast. Rub it generously on raw chicken breast, then grill or roast.

This Mediterranean spice rub is incredibly flavorful, easy to make and perfect on boneless, skinless chicken breast.
Makes about 4 ½ tablespoons of seasoning.
I recommend to use about 2 teaspoons per 8 ounces of chicken breast.

Ingredients:
  

  • 1 tablespoon ground allspice
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • ½ tablespoon ground black pepper
  • ½ tablespoon dried oregano
  • ½ tablespoon salt

Equipment:

  • measuring spoons
  • glass jar with lid

Method:
 

  1. Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
  2. Store in a jar in the kitchen cabinet. It will keep its flavor for at least 6 months.

Recipe notes:

How to use it: Pat boneless, skinless chicken breast dry using paper towels. Rub the spice rub on the chicken, then grill or roast.
