Paprika Ancho Rub

This paprika ancho rub has a rich, bold and delicious flavor from smoked hot paprika, ancho chili powder, oregano, cumin, garlic powder and salt. The rub is great on chicken and I also love it on fried potatoes and potato wedges!

Paprika Ancho Rub

Makes a little more than 2 ½ teaspoons, which is enough for 2 servings (about 4 ounces each) of either meat or potatoes.

Equipment:

  • measuring spoons
  • mixing bowl

Ingredients:
  

  • 1 teaspoon smoked hot paprika
  • ½ teaspoon ancho chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder

Method:
 

  1. Add all ingredients to a bowl and stir until well combined.
  2. Store in an airtight container (such as a glass jar). Keep in a cool and dark place, such as the kitchen pantry or cabinet. It will keep for at least 6 months.
