This delicious Bourbon milk punch version has more heavy cream than most recipes and makes an indulgent dessert cocktail. It's rich but not overly so because the deep and complex flavors of the Bourbon cut through the cream beautifully.

How to make it:
See full ingredient amounts and instructions in the recipe card below!
- Mix whole milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract and simple syrup together in a container you can easily pour from. (I like to use a liquid measuring cup.)
- Stir in the Bourbon.

Bourbon Milk Punch with Heavy Cream
This delicious Bourbon milk punch version has extra cream and makes an indulgent dessert cocktail.
Equipment:
Ingredients:
Method:
- Mix milk, cream, vanilla and syrup together.
- Mix in the Bourbon, then pour over ice.
- Sprinkle with nutmeg (optional).
Recipe notes:
Be sure to follow the steps of this recipe in the order in which they are listed. If you add the Bourbon before mixing everything else, you run the risk of curdling the drink.
*A simple syrup is a mix of equal parts (by volume) of granulated sugar and water. (For example 1 cup sugar plus 1 cup water.) Heat the mix until all the sugar is dissolved and then let it cool.

- For a spice-infused cocktail try this white Russian with spiced cream.
- This spiced eggnog recipe can be made with rum or with Bourbon.

Hi! I was looking for a bourbon cream cocktail and found your recipe.
Yum- I just made this but I substituted maple syrup for the simple syrup, but had to play around with the quantity- and, I actually needed less maple, tho this is an lovely indulgent cocktail, so let's not think 'calories'.
Thank you for this milk punch recipe- it's origins are British. And of course, the Brits who came to America brought it with them (the idea of milk punch). I have British and Irish ancestry, and identify as North Atlantic Islander (If there's a place on the form to write it in...) Cheers, everyone!

So gorgeous Nicole, I love creamy cocktails like this. White Russians and brandy alexanders are two of my favourite drinks!
This looks really similar to a brandy alexander. I love the colour in this photo it's great.

Thank you, Angela! It is very similar to a Brandy Alexander, some recipes are actually identical but I've also seen a few that add creme de cacao to the Alexander. (Need to get a bottle of creme de cacao, I've never had it but sounds delicious). :)
