Sprinkle the zest onto a piece of wax paper or parchment paper, then cover loosely with a paper towel. Let sit at room temperature until completely dry (about 1 day).
Add black pepper, onion and garlic powder, oregano, basil, marjoram, salt and red pepper flakes to a jar.
Add the dried lemon zest to the jar, then put on the lid and shake everything until well combined.
Store in an airtight container in the pantry for up to 3 months. Shake well before each use.
Recipe notes:
*This seasoning is mildly spicy. Add more crushed red pepper flakes to taste if you like it spicier.
