1teaspoonfinely chopped fresh thyme or ½ teaspoon dried thyme
¼cupwhipped cream cheese**
1small garlic clove,minced
3tablespoonsroughly chopped dried cranberries
Grind toasted onion (and dried thyme, if you're using dried) in a mortar with a pestle until you have a fine powder.
Whisk cream cheese, mayo, sour cream, garlic, salt, thyme and onion together until creamy.
Fold in the cranberries.
Serve with baguette or crackers.
*You can substitute onion powder if you don't have minced toasted onion on hand.**If you only have regular cream cheese on hand, you can easily turn that into whipped cream cheese by whipping it with a little bit of milk. I recommend this recipe for homemade whipped cream cheese.
