Recipes with Ginger (Sweet)
Ginger is an indispensable ingredient in many savory dishes but it works magic in sweets as well.
Fresh or dried, the spice adds its unmistakable flavor to desserts, whether that's a simple syrup for a cocktail, a fruit jam or a citrus mousse.
You can also use it crystallized.
What is crystallized ginger?
Crystallized ginger is basically ginger in candy form. It's made by boiling fresh ginger root in sugar syrup and then letting it dry. That way all the intense ginger flavor is preserved but it's wrapped in a blanket of sweetness. Chopped up into small bits, crystallized ginger makes a great addition to everything from meringue toppings to chocolate truffles.
