This apple cider chicken marinade makes delicious sweet and savory chicken breast. Its dominant flavor comes from apple cider and maple syrup and the sweetness is balanced by adobo sauce and Dijon mustard.

Apple cider chicken marinade being whisked in a bowl.

Marinade ingredients and notes:

  • The adobo sauce and the mustard are almost imperceptible in the flavor of the chicken, but they are needed to balance the cider and the syrup. Without those two ingredients, the sweetness would be overwhelming.
  • Please note that this recipe calls for apple cider (unfiltered apple juice), not apple cider vinegar.
