Welcome! I’m Nicole Branan, a professional food photographer in the greater Denver area and I started The Spice Train in 2013 because I wanted to learn how to cook with spices. Up until then ninety percent of my spice pantry was sitting around unused. Not any more! Spices are now the workhorses in my kitchen. On this blog I share with you what I learn from my experiments with different flavors and the recipes I come up with.
I try to cook completely from scratch (with a few exceptions, I don’t make my own soy sauce, for example) but other than that I don’t follow any particular style or rule. My motto is “If it tastes good, it is good.”
My food photographs have won international awards and have been published in numerous cookbooks, online publications and print magazines, including realsimple.com, oprah.com, SELF and Zagat.
I share food photography and styling tips throughout this blog and have also written an eBook and recorded Photoshop video courses that you can purchase. Below are also a few links to interviews and guest posts you can click.
I work as a food photographer and food photo stylist. You can view more of my work on my website nicolebranan.com. If you’re interested in hiring me for freelance work, please get in touch with me at firstname.lastname@example.org, I’d love to hear from you.
To license my photos for commercial or editorial use please click the buy button directly below them or contact me.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I appreciate your interest!
